I literally grew up in a rose garden. My dad was the Garden’s foreman at the Royal National Rose Society and our family lived in a cottage in the grounds of the gardens. I was lucky enough to exhibit at the annual show there. So it is not surprising the career path that I took. When I left college I became a trainee florist in an Interflora flowers shop and attended night classes at a floristry and horticultural college. Within 3 years I became a manager at the same shop. I have worked many times for the Royal National Rose Society and The Royal Horticultural Society at all the major U.K flower shows, in particular The Chelsea flower show and The Hampton Court flower show. I also worked as a head office manager at Longmans florist in London and on their exhibition and information stand at Chelsea. Eventually I bought my own florist shop that I ran with a friend and business partner, I handed the reigns over to her when my son was quite young so that I could spend more time with him but I continued to helped them out at busy times, Valentines, Mothers day, christmas and big events like weddings and funerals. Wedding flowers have always been my speciality and in the U.K I regularly decorated some of the finest wedding venues, my favoutites being Brocket Hall and the Woburn Sculpture Gallery. I have honestly lost count of the number of brides who have married while carrying a bouquet of my creation, not to mention the buttonholes, table centres etc etc etc. In 2015 My family and I moved to Aubeterre sur dronne in the Charente and I discovered that, by coincidence, the area is a very popular wedding destination and in need of a good florist with good quality flowers. J'ai littéralement grandi dans une roseraie. Mon père était le contremaître du jardin à la Royal National Rose Society et notre famille vivait dans un chalet dans les jardins. J'ai eu la chance d'exposer au spectacle annuel. Donc, ce n'est pas surprenant le cheminement de carrière que j'ai pris. Quand j'ai quitté l'école, je suis devenu un fleuriste stagiaire à un fleuriste Interflora et j'ai pris des cours du soir dans un collège de fleuristerie et d'horticulture. En 3 ans, je suis devenu manager dans le même magasin.
J'ai travaillé plusieurs fois pour la Royal National Rose Society et la Royal Horticultural Society à toutes les grandes expositions florales au Royaume-Uni, en particulier au Chelsea Flower Show et au Hampton Court Flower Show. Je lui ai donné les rênes quand mon fils était jeune pour que je puisse passer plus de temps avec lui. J'ai continué à les aider lors de périodes très occupées comme la Saint-Valentin, la fête des Mères, Noël et les grands événements tels que les mariages et les funérailles. Les fleurs de mariage ont toujours été ma spécialité et au Royaume-Uni, j'ai régulièrement décoré certains des meilleurs lieux de mariage, mes favoris étant Brocket Hall et la Woburn Sculpture Gallery. J'ai honnêtement perdu le compte du nombre de mariées qui se sont mariées en portant un tas de ma création, pour ne pas mentionner les boutonnières, centres de table etc etc le En 2015, ma famille et moi avons déménagé à Aubeterre en dronne en Charente et j'ai découvert que, par coïncidence, la région est une destination de mariage très populaire et a besoin d'un bon fleuriste avec des fleurs de bonne qualité.
